Some of our protégés have been waiting for a long time in Spanish or Portuguese shelters for their big chance to be taken in by a family.
Sometimes they are anxious or just not as photogenic as their other counterparts and therefore had no chance of mediation. Our foster homes are often rescuers in need when dogs can be saved from killing. Because the capacities on site in our partner animal shelters are limited.
The work of a foster home is not easy. You usually not only open your door, but also your heart for a dog soul. It is sometimes difficult to say goodbye. That is why we are grateful that there are always people who offer our dogs this unique opportunity.
We are always looking for such special people who are willing to look after a dog responsibly until it has found its home forever. Of course, we are always there should any unforeseen problems arise - we are always available to provide advice and assistance. Nevertheless, it would of course be an advantage if the foster parents already had dog experience so that everything could run smoothly.
Since we would like to work as closely as possible with the foster homes, new foster homes are only welcome in the area of Freiburg i. Br., Emmendingen County, Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald County, Ortenau County, Lörrach County and Waldshut County.
Unfortunately, however, we cannot make a compensation payment for accommodation or a veterinarian, because our animal welfare association has set itself the task of providing the animal rights activists with the lion's share of the money from an agency so that they can help other dogs, which we can then mediate again , Therefore we can e.g. B. do not pay daily rates of care allowance and would have to cover everything from our private budget if we were to incur any costs.
We therefore appeal to animal lovers who can no longer take in a dog themselves, but would still like to help at times.
Transport from abroad will definitely be provided to southern Germany.
The dogs are all chipped, sufficiently vaccinated, examined by a veterinarian and for the most part already neutered.
All southern dogs from 10 months old are subjected to a large blood test because of the Mediterranean diseases.
We appreciate your support.
