Ken was handed in at the shelter together with his (presumed) brother Ryu. Ryu was lucky and was adopted by Spaniards shortly after his arrival. Our black unlucky Ken is still waiting!
Georgina, our Spanish animal guardian angel from Mora la Nova has also unfortunately quite little confidence that this will change soon. When a potential adopter comes to the Refugio, the other dogs show their chocolate side. Ken, on the other hand, does not turn up and is simply overlooked in the multitude of dogs. He is not a scared dog - he is just shy and black!
The volunteers have taken him very much to their hearts. Ken is very sweet, affectionate and, typical of young dogs, very curious and playful. He needs a short time to thaw out ... but then no one is safe from his kisses. And when you cuddle him on his belly he forgets everything around him.
We keep our fingers crossed that the young dog man will soon be allowed to leave the country. The sooner the better... the world is big and Ken knows almost only the shelter!
Are they loving and have bumblebees in their butts too?

He travels like all our dogs chipped, vaccinated (rabies and 5 times), dewormed, tested for Mediterranean diseases, neutered and equipped with EU pet passport to a new life!
