Unfortunately, Cloe tested positive for leishmaniasis. "shelter dad" Craig has just received the test results. The female pointer has no external signs, which is why the titer is probably low. Future treatment is currently being coordinated with the vet.

All dogs end up in Craig's animal shelter: big and small, male and female, old and young. And even purebred dogs are not spared from being given away.

The purebred pointer dog Cloe came into Craig's care a few weeks ago. And surprise: yes, she was also picked up on the street. He is sure that Cloe never had to hunt and was kept as a family dog. On a leash and harness, the dog behaves well and calmly. In the animal shelter, Cloe is very social with the other animals in the shelter, regardless of age and gender. Cloe is initially shy and reserved with strangers. Once she has opened up, Cloe is very grateful and affectionate towards her owners.
