The situation of Podencos in southern Spain is often particularly bad. These wonderful dogs are often kept as hunting dogs and are simply abandoned or mistreated after the end of the hunting season. Many Podencos end up in animal shelters or on the streets and struggle to survive. But they are extremely loyal and loving creatures! Local animal welfare organizations like Al-Bayyasa are a ray of hope for such poor souls in Andalusia! They are committed to giving these dogs a second chance and finding them loving homes.

We are delighted to introduce Bombom, a true Podenco beauty! Unfortunately, she has spent most of her life in the animal shelter. We cannot understand this, Bombom has done nothing wrong!

She gets on well with all dogs and people and loves going for walks. She behaves perfectly in an apartment/house. Special: Although Bombom gets on well with other dogs, the Podenca prefers to be alone. There is nothing to stop her from being kept as a single dog!
